1. Who you are agreeing with

Split Shot is published by Weronika Michałowicz, Poland, reachable at info@instruktorwero.com ("we", "us"). These terms cover your use of the Split Shot application and of this website. Installing or using the app means you accept them.

2. What you may do with the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Split Shot on devices you control, for as long as you comply with these terms. You may use it for your own training and coaching, including commercially — a coach may use it with clients.

You may not decompile, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app, except where law expressly permits it, and you may not remove or obscure any notices in it. The app, its name, its logo and this site's content remain ours.

3. What Split Shot is — and what it is not

Split Shot estimates the start signal and the shots from a recording's audio, and follows the shooter in the picture, so two runs can be reviewed side by side. Those estimates come from the footage you supply and are only as good as it is: wind, echo, distance, other shooters on neighbouring bays, compression and a phone microphone all affect what can be heard.

Split Shot is not a shot timer, not a scoring device, and not a substitute for one. It makes no claim to the accuracy of a certified timer, and its numbers must not be used to settle a placing, a record, a qualification or any official result. It is for training review.

4. Safety

Reviewing video is something to do when the firing is over. Only use Split Shot when the range is safe, all firearms are cleared and secured, and doing so does not distract you or anyone else. Follow the range's rules and the instructions of whoever is running it — they always take priority over anything this app shows you.

You are responsible for handling firearms safely and lawfully. Nothing in the app is instruction in firearms handling, and nothing in it is a reason to relax a safety rule.

5. Your footage

Your videos stay yours. Because the app has no network access, we never receive them, never see them and claim no rights over them — see the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for having the right to record and use the footage you import. Filming other people, especially at a club or a match, may need their agreement or the organiser's, and the rules differ from country to country. Please be considerate before you export a clip and post it somewhere.

6. Availability and changes

Split Shot is under active development. Features may change, and analysis results may change between versions as the detection improves. We may update, suspend or discontinue the app or this site. We will not delete anything already on your device — but an update can change how a project is analysed, so keep any export you care about.

7. Warranty and liability

The app and the site are provided as they are, without warranty that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any detection will be correct. To the fullest extent the law permits, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost footage or lost training time, or for decisions taken on the basis of the app's output.

Nothing above limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for intentional wrongdoing or gross negligence, and including your statutory rights as a consumer under Polish and EU law, which stand whatever these terms say.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Poland. Disputes fall to the Polish courts. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country, and you may bring proceedings there.

9. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms; the date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use Split Shot after a change means you accept the revised terms. If you do not, stop using the app and uninstall it.
